At Thurston
Thursday, March 18, 2027, 5:45–7:15 pm, in the Thurston MPR.
Thurston Math Club is a Math Kangaroo test center, so kids can take the contest right at school. It’s optional. We practice Math Kangaroo problems at every meeting because they’re great puzzles, but the club isn’t built around the contest, and kids who don’t take it are just as welcome.
The test
| Grades | Questions | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | 24 | 75 minutes |
| 3–4 | 24 | 75 minutes |
| 5–6 | 30 | 75 minutes |
The questions are multiple choice, worth 3, 4, or 5 points, from easier to harder. A wrong answer doesn’t cost any points.
How to register
Families register on mathkangaroo.org. Our test center is invitation-only, so you’ll need its invitation code. The fee is $20 through December 31, or $35 for late registration from January 1 to February 1.
